Summer 2024 Road Closure to Affect Sue’s Quilt Creations
**On June 6th the Burlington Tpke off Rt 6 in Burlington CLOSED for construction. Closed
through Sept 20th.
**THEN – On June 12th the East Troy bridge on Rt 6 was hit by an oversized load. Closed through the end of August at this point. This affects anyone coming to me using Rt 6 East from Troy on east.
Rt 6 Closure Detour Options
From Williamsport Rt 15N – Rt 15N to Rt 14N in Canton. In Canton, take Rt. 414E at the light. Follow approx. 15 miles and make a Left to Preacher Brook Rd (It will say it is closed, you are turning before the closure). At the bend, you will stay straight onto Alexander Rd. Follow to the end (approx. 2 mi), and take a LEFT onto Franklindale Rd. Follow to the end (approx. 3 mi) and take a LEFT onto Burlington Tpke. You will see a sign for Sue’s Quilt Creations here. Take a LEFT and I am about a 1/2mile on the RIGHT. I have a road sign for the business.
From Williamsport 220N – NO DETOUR – Rt 180 E to 220N. Follow 220N approx. 50 miles. In Monroeton, take a LEFT onto Burlington Tpke. (Easy to miss, it’s on a bend in the road.) Cross over Rt 414 and follow the Burlington Tpke approx. 8mi and I will be on your right. Come past the ‘road closed ahead’ signs; I am before the closure on this road. From Troy – Rt 6 E to Rt 14N. Go approx. 3 mi and take a Right onto Old Kennedy Rd. Follow to the end and take a Right onto Leona Rd. At the end of Leona, you will take a Left back onto Rt 6 E. Go through Burlington approx. 2 miles and take the next RIGHT onto Madigan Rd (paved). Follow Madigan to the end and take a RIGHT @ the stop sign onto Burlington Tpke. Follow approximately 1.25miles and Sue’s Quilt Creations will be on your RIGHT. There are PennDOT detour signs for Burlington Tpke and I have business signs at the intersections.
From East Smithfield – At the stop sign in Burlington, turn LEFT onto Rt. 6 East and follow for approx. 2 mi. Take the next RIGHT onto Madigan Rd (paved). Follow Madigan to the end and take a RIGHT @ the stop sign onto Burlington Tpke. Follow approximately 1.25mi and Sue’s Quilt Creations will be on your RIGHT. There are PennDOT detour signs for Burlington Tpke and I have business signs at the intersections.
From Towanda and Rt. 220 – As you come West on Rt 6, watch for Burlington Tpke Detour signs. In Luthers Mills you will take a LEFT onto Madigan Rd (paved). Follow Madigan to the end and take a RIGHT @ the stop sign onto Burlington Tpke. Follow approximately 1.5miles and Sue’s Quilt Creations will be on your RIGHT. There are PennDOT detour signs for Burlington Tpke and I have business signs at the intersections.
From Elmira via Rt 14 – Follow 14 S to Columbia Cross Rds, make a Left onto Springfield Rd. Follow approx. 6-7 mi and make a Rt onto Leona Rd. At the end of Leona, you will take a Left back onto Rt 6 E. Go through Burlington approx. 2 miles and take the next RIGHT onto Madigan Rd (paved). Follow Madigan to the end and take a RIGHT @ the stop sign onto Burlington Tpke. Follow approximately 1.25miles and Sue’s Quilt Creations will be on your RIGHT. There are PennDOT detour signs for Burlington Tpke and I have business signs at the intersections.
From Elmira via Rt 17 & Berwick Tpke. – Rt 17/86E to Exit 58 for Lowman Crossover. Follow to end and turn right onto rt 367. Go approx. a quarter mile and turn left onto Main St/367. This will turn to the Berwick Tpke, when you cross into PA. Follow 17 miles to Rt 6 in Burlington. At the stop sign in Burlington, turn LEFT onto Rt. 6 East and follow for approx. 2 mi. Take the next RIGHT onto Madigan Rd (paved). Follow Madigan to the end and take a RIGHT @ the stop sign onto Burlington Tpke. Follow approximately 1.25mi and Sue’s Quilt Creations will be on your RIGHT. There are PennDOT detour signs for Burlington Tpke and I have business signs at the intersections.
From Waverly/Sayre – Follow Rt 220 S to the Troy/Towanda exit. At the bottom of the exit turn Right toward Troy onto Rt 6 West. As you come West on Rt 6, watch for Burlington Tpke Detour signs. In Luthers Mills you will take a LEFT onto Madigan Rd (paved). Follow Madigan to the end and take a RIGHT @ the stop sign onto Burlington Tpke.
